This historical house did require a lot of demolitions around it.
This was due to the numerous extensions in a long line over the last 100 years of poorly made solutions. Our brave clients wanted something special for this location that would be bold and brave.
The solution was to retain the most historical core of the building, but then float this new building alongside it.
Using Corten steel and elegant detailing this building would be a real innovation in this countryside location with harping back to rusty metalwork agricultural implements.
The end solution is an astonishing L-shaped building against this historical core that also overlooks the existing ancient pond.
