Located in Houghton Hall Park in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire the new centre forms a central hub for the local and wider community to provide an environment for learning and recreation, a resource for local businesses and the community, and a base in which to oversee the development and up keep of the country park.

The centre provides flexible and effective spaces that allow it to operate for a wide variety of functions and to a broad audience of users. Whether it is to be used for a school teaching space, a board meeting for a local business, for a small visiting family or individual the centre caters for their needs. Their is a cafe for guests, children’s discovery area, and interactive interpretation about the park and other local heritage.

Materials have been carefully selected to enable the building to blend into the natural landscape and areas of glazing have been incorporated to allow the internal and external environments to merge. The Visitors centre opened in October 2017 and provides a valuable hub for the local community.
