Set in between two ancient wooded areas to the west of Maulden Woods this historic site with its hidden Medieval Moat on a flat agricultural piece of land led to an opportunity to reconnect and establish new woodland whilst also protecting, preserving and enhancing an ancient moat and revitalising the land with an innovative modern building.

The proposals for this unique site start at a point of ideology of creating a tree house, a building inspired by nature and utilising the components of trunks, branches and how leaves and tree shimmer in light with uplifting intriguing elevations.

The building would be set in a new woodland which would develop around it and provide an iconic and unique exemplar to modern contemporary architecture on this plateau ridge site.
