These proposals were based on the conversion of a 35,000 square foot 1960s original Victorian warehouse block located in the centre of Letchworth.

We were looking at efficient ways of reusing the existing building but also providing some additional floor area to the scheme and so opted for the new floor area to be a set back penthouse level to the top floor with circulation to the internal courtyard of the building so as not to affect the fabric of the original structure too much.

The intention of the proposals are to be Passivhaus levels of insulation, sustainability and air tightness along with high quality air.
