A replacement dwelling created as a contemporary and sustainable family home located in Hadley Wood. A shining example of contemporary design in woodland architecture; creating a beautiful one-off home that enhances its natural surroundings in a timeless, family friendly way.

The woodland residence has been designed to blend within the open fields located on one side of the site. Stylish glazing systems have been used to optimise the stunning landscape views from the back of the property as well as increase natural light within the home for an airy, close to nature feel, typical of this style of modern woodland architecture.

Using natural materials like solid timber and stone cladding we have created a natural colour palette, promoting both a subtle and concealed appearance to the building. This helps the building to work with its surroundings in all conditions, throughout the year.

The house has been designed to a high environmental standard with a low carbon footprint, incorporating a ground source heat pump with zone controlled underfloor heating, heat recovery ventilation, rainwater harvesting and grass/sedum roofs.
