Located on a steep road incline just outside Leighton Buzzard this large rural plot has fabulous views across Buckinghamshire.

The site was well known for grazing and badgers and a plethora of wildlife. Our proposals were modest and subtle with the intention that only small components of the building would poke up above the landscape. Like ‘eyes’ on the world, these ‘lenses’ provided startling views across the valley and to the landscape beyond. Utilising innovative building techniques and outstanding architecture allowed for such proposals towards paragraph 80.

Although the proposals led to inclusive and significant enhancements to landscaping, these were not to take over the landscape as the existing land use and form is enjoyed as a special part of the local landscape setting.
